Jimmy White on his way to World Open
A more interesting day, here at Sheffield Academy, for the second round has had more drama, tension and some totally unexpected surprises.

The fans of Jimmy White can declare themselves happy, for "The Whirlwind" crashed Michael Jugde in a match with a 3-0 scoreline. It seems that Jimmy has had a total recovery after his gout problems and he’s back on business. Glad to see him like that! The third round, where he`ll be playing Paul Davison will be held in Glasgow on September 18, as well as other matches: Ding Junghui v. Adrian Gunnell, Allistar Carter v.Thepchaiya Un Nooh, Steve Davis v. Peter Ebdon, Neil Robertson v. Graeme Dott, Stephen Hendry v. Bjorn Haneveer, Mark King vs. Ronnie O`Sullivan, Stephen Maguire v. Stuart Pettman and Mark Selby v. Barry Hawkins.

Matthew Couch had an amazing day, yesterday for he ended two matches on 3-0. The first with Marc Davis and the second with Ian McCulloch. The same for Martin Gould who beat Thai Nappon Saengkham 3-0.
The match between the Belgian player Bjorn Haneveer and the Irish Joe Swail was a very tight one, but ended in favor of Bjorn, as well as the match between Liam Highfield and Fergal O’Brien, which had a 3-2 scoreline.

Liu Song
The Norwegian Anita Rizzuti was defeated 3-0 by Alfie Burden, Alfie who also beat PTC 3 winner, Tom Ford 3-1. And since we are in the "PTC zone", maybe the biggest surprise of the day was the match between the Chinese Liu Song and Barry Pinches, the winner of the PTC 4 event; Barry lost 3-1.
Yesterday was definitely not a lucky day for the PTC`s winners! :P

Only two century breaks: Anthony McGill (108) and Joe Swail (139), a beautiful break but not enough to beat Haneveer.
Here, you have the results list.

The next round is knocking at my door and I have to answer, for I don’t want to be rude. I tell you what we talked about, tomorrow, ok? :))
