Snooker in November

The busy, busy month of October ended a few hours ago, but November will bring snooker back into your homes. It’s true, maybe this month the variety of tournaments won’t be as big as last month, but we shall have the honor to see who will be the next Premier League champion and also the qualifying rounds for the grandiose UK Championship (which starts on December) will kick off.
But let’s see the detailed list of snooker events for the month of November, shall we? :-)


1. Premier League


When?: November 4
Where?: Weston-super-Mare, UK
Defending champion: Shaun Murphy
Who’s playing?: Marco Fu v. Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy v. Mark Selby.
Prizes: winner(£30,000), runner-up (£15,000), losing semi-finalists (£5,000).
There will also be a bonus fund of £1,000 per frame won during the round-robin section; the £1,000 century bonus does not apply during the semi-finals or final. Also a £25,000 prize will be awarded to the players who hit the maximum break.

2. Seniors World Championship


When?: 5-7 November
Where?: Bradford, UK
Who`s playing?: Steve Davis, Dennis Taylor, Cliff Thorburn, Joe Johnson, John Parrott, Ken Doherty, Peter Ebdon, Jimmy White and Nigel Bond
Prizes: winner (£20,000), runner-up (£10,000), losing semi-finalists (£4,000), losing quarter-finalists (£2,500) and for the pre-qualifier (£2,000).

3. Premier League


When?: November11
Where?: Grimsby, UK
Defending champion: Shaun Murphy
Who’s playing?: Shaun Murphy v. Mark Williams and Ronnie O`Sullivan v. Neil Robertson.
Prizes: winner(£30,000), runner-up (£15,000), losing semi-finalists (£5,000).
There will also be a bonus fund of £1,000 per frame won during the round-robin section; the £1,000 century bonus does not apply during the semi-finals or final. Also a £25,000 prize will be awarded to the players who hit the maximum break.

4. European Players Tour Championship 5 (EPTC 5)


When?: 11 - 14 November
Where?: Hamm, Germany

Prizes: winner (10,000 Euros), runner-up (5,000 euros), semi-finals (2,500 Euros), quarter-finals (1,400 Euros), last 16 (1,000 Euros), last 32 (500 Euros) and last 64 (200 Euros). There are also a plate winner prize (1,500 Euros) and a plate runner-up prize (500 Euros).
Ranking points: winner (2,000), runner-up (1,600), semi-finals (1,280), quarter-finals (1,000), last 16 (760), last 32 (560) and the last 64 (360).
Note: Ranking points are only available to professional players.

Who’s playing?: Ronnie O`Sullivan v. Mark Selby and Shaun Murphy v. Neil Robertson.
Prizes: winner(£30,000), runner-up (£15,000), losing semi-finalists (£5,000).
There will also be a bonus fund of £1,000 per frame won during the round-robin section; the £1,000 century bonus does not apply during the semi-finals or final. Also a £25,000 prize will be awarded to the players who hit the maximum break.
