Pistol Allen shoots down Hawk
Another night, another crazy match that had Mark Allen as part of the equation. This time his opponent was Barry Hawkins, a player that did his job the best possible way. Still, the Pistol Allen aimed good for victory and won on a decider by 13-12.
Stephen Hendry and Mark Selby were the actors of a "raining-breaks" first session, The Jester takings the lead 7-1.

With the second session finished on a 9-7 lead in favor of Allen, after he was down 3-5 after the first one, last night meant the world for the Pistol as he put up another one of his gorges snooker fight to win the match against Barry Hawkins 13-12.

End of run for Barry Hawkins
As the last session started, one more frame was to be cashed by Allen, before Hawkins almost made a spectacular comeback by hitting in breaks of 41 and 40 as to go 9-10 behind his opponent. A series of 52, 77 and 51 was putting Allen one step away from the victory, as the scoreline was now 12-9 in his favor....but that wasn’t to be the end of the story.

A wonderful and full comeback was made by Barry as the Englishman hit in breaks of 80, 117 and 93 as to force the match into a decider! It was class snooker played by the Hawk of snooker! Unfortunately for him, a 96 and Allen was the man to reach the quarter-finals as the final scoreline was: 13-12. Great performance from both players! Hat off!

Mark Selby seems ustoppable
Stephen Hendry and Mark Serlby were playing their first session at the near table, Selby taking the lead 7-1, although Hendry seemed pretty strong at the beginning of the match.

A break of 125 was breaking the ice as Mark was taking the first frame, but Hendry responded with 114 to level the match. However that was his last shot, as Selby hit in runs of 108, 98, 129 and 51 to win all the remaining frames and set the partial scoreline 7-1.
