Graeme Dott, the 2006 world champion, 2007 China Open winner and 2010 World Championship runner-up, pulled out of the brand new ranking event Australia Goldfields Open, due to take place in Bendigo, Australia from 18-24 of July.

According to World Snooker, Dott is struggling serious neck problems since he played in the recently ended Wuxi Classic from China and has preferred to go back home and take care of his health problem, rather than to fly all the way to Australia for the coming event.

"Dott was due to play either David Gilbert or wild card James Mifsud in the first round, so the winner of that match will get a bye to the last 16.", says World Snooker.
We all wish the champ best of luck with his health problem and hope to see him playing high quality snooker in no time. :-)
