| Wattana wins over a fellow-country |
At the same time the Pink team from OnQ Promotions has continued his good run, only two out of five players not managing to get through the next round.
The most popular and definitely a snooker legend not just in his own country but also abroad, the Thai James Wattana, had to face one of his fellow-country, Passakorn Suwannawat. They might represent the same nation, but snooker is snooker and so, without any remorse, James beat his opponent 5-3.
The same scoreline was going to be used in the next match, the one that saw a China’s Liang Wenbo taking on India's Aditya Mehta and also winning over him. Actually the Chinese team has had, as always, a pretty good start. Liu Chuang managed to beat Ian McCulloch, Liu Song saw Liam Highfield out, while Xiao Guodong ended David Gilbert's German Masters dream. All these victories were ended on a 5-3 result. Strange coincidence.

Unfortunately, Gerard Greene lost his battle of cues, David Morris making Ireland proud and obtaining a well deserved victory of 5-2.
