David Gray hits a beautiful 147
Seems to be raining with maximum breaks lately. The dust hasn't even gathered yet on Mike Dunn's first 147, that Londoner David Gray hit one in the qualifying rounds of the PTC 10 Event.

Although this isn't David's first 147 (the lad making one in the final of the 2004 UK Championship), it has some kind of special meaning, not just a personal one, but also a more general one, if I may call it like that, because this is the 80th maximum break hit in the history of snooker (officially speaking).

Also with this beautiful break, Gray sealed a 4-2 victory over Robbie Williams to book a snooker meeting with Simon Bedford on Tuesday morning.

It was a very nice surprise to see young Greg Davis (Steve Davis' son) playing in Sheffield after such a long time. Unfortunately the lad lost 4-2 to Duane Jones, a very popular face among those who reach the main event, but surely if he keeps up the practicing we'll be hearing more of him.
On the other hand, Peter Lines' son Oliver obtained a very good 4-2 victory over Neal Jones and is meeting Passakorn Suwannawat in the first round of the PTC 10.

Sean O'Sullivan is also among those who will delight us with their cue action, the player with a very prestigious name defeating Barry Stark 4-0 and a very powerful Craig Steadman 4-3, Chris Norbury is not to miss the party either, his victories of 4-1 over Ryan Thomerson and Jamie Brown securing him a spot in the main event, while Stephen Ellis decided to join the gang as well by beating Jak Jones 4-2 and Billy Brown 4-0.

China's Anda Zhang and Chen Zhe have grabbed a place for the event too, Anda's 4-2 over Mitchell Travis doing the trick, while Chen imposed himself with a more dramatic 4-0 over Rogelio Esteiro.
