Hendry's going to Germany next year
The last eight players that needed to complete the Last 16 line-up are already with their passports prepared for making a trip to Munich, Germany at the beginning of 2012.

Among them are the Master Stephen Hendry and two PTC champions, Michael Holt, winner of the recent PTC 10 and Andrew Higginson winner of PTC 5. We also have some newcomers into the Last 16, like Marco Fu, the man himself Stephen Hendry, the amateur player David Gray and Kurt Maflin.

A big "Hurray!" was heard when Stephen Hendry managed to win all his three matches in order to qualify for the Last 16 round of PTC 12, that is being held next year in Germany. The Scottish player that has no more than seven world titles under his belt crashed Ben Harrison 4-0, beat Scott Donaldson 4-2, only to set up his last snooker meeting of the day with another legend of this sport, Ken Doherty, whom he mercilessly defeated by 4-2.

Marco Fu in good form
Michael Holt and Andrew Higginson, both PTC champions, had also grabbed a spot for the next round, Holty moving pass James McGouran 4-0, the Thai Dechawat Poomjaeng 4-3 and Steve Davis 4-2, while Higginson obtained victories of 4-0 over Dominic Dale, 4-2 over Mark King and a hard fought 4-3 over Jak Jones.

After a very good performance during the recently ended UK Championship when he reached the quarter-finals, Marco Fu is clearly on the wave of success. He managed to defeat a Pink Army member, Alfie Burden 4-1, the Irishman Fergal O'Brien 4-3 and the Welshman Ryan Day also by a 4-3 scoreline for a well deserved spot in the Last 16.

Also in a great form, the player that was born on UK's lands but is now representing Norway, Kurt Maflin, got a ticket-to-go-to-Germany after beating James Wattana and Shaun Murphy 4-3 and Jack Lisowski 4-2, while the amateur player David Gray is going to experience the "Last 16 feeling" for the first time, victories of 4-1 over Jimmy Robertson, 4-0 over Alan McManus and another 4-0 over Ian Burns recommending him for a trip abroad.

Scotland didn't settle for sending only Stephen Hendry to conquer Germany. No. It also sent Marcus Campbell and Stephen Maguire, Campbell "buying" his ticket with a 4-2 obtained in front of Peter Ebdon, a 4-3 over fellow-country Graeme Dott and another 4-3 over China's Li Yan, while Maguire used a 4-1 against Ricky Norris, Zhang Anda and Ali Carter to get on the same plane with his Scottish friends.
