'Is snooker back?'
On Tuesday we are going back to Sheffield where all the action is happening, the cue action that is. The lads will be competing again, this time for a place in the second edition of the Australian Open that's taking place between 9 and 15 of July, where else than Down Under.

Last year the event was a pretty huge one, the snooker fans being absolutely delighted to see their favourite players performing AT LAST in their country, while for Neil Robertson it was a total blast to play in front of his home crowd.

Stuart Bingham managed to lift the trophy at the end, after beating Mark Williams 9-8, this being the Englishman's first ranking event title.
Things also went pretty smooth for the Irishman Ken Doherty, who managed to reach thew semi-finals stage, where he sadly lost 6-2 to Williams.

This year things promise to b even crazier that last year and I mean that in the best possible way, so here we go with the first step, the qualifiers.

Best of luck to all the players involved and may the best 16 earn their ticket to Australia!
