Kenny goes to China
Friday saw the end of this year's Wuxi Classic qualifying rounds, actually the first qualifying rounds of the history of this tournament, since this is the first year it becomes a ranking one, so now we are in possession of the names written on the plane tickets to China.

First of all, let's take a look in the legends gang. Oh yes, here he is: "The Darling of Dublin" Ken Doherty and his unique laughter that can easily be transformed into a fancy ringtone. Really, I love the man to bits, so I'm not making fun.

Back to serious matters now: he managed to win 5-3 over a pretty revived Jack Lisowski and secure his spot in this season’s first ranking event, hence we shall see the Irish player in Wuxi at the end of this month.

Also Irish and also with a secured spot in the tournament is Fergal O'Brien who applied the same 5-3 scoreline, but on Gerard Greene. The Irish team is now complete.

Ebbo to return to China
Peter Ebdon, the player that put on quite a show last time he was in China (aka. he won the 2012 China Open tournament), is due to be seen in Wuxi this month after beating Matthew Selt by 5-4, while one very-eager-to-compete Dave Harold closed his "snooker deal" with Mark King on the same result to start the season with the right foot.

Pink Army's brave soldiers, Barry Hawkins, Mark Davis, Michael White, Joe Perry, Robert Milkins and Dominic Dale have all grabbed a place on the plane leaving for Wuxi, after Barry defeated his pink comrade Jimmy Robertson 5-4, Mark took care of seeing off Rory McLeod by 5-3, Michael sent home the "Sheriff of Pottingham" 5-4, Joe hammered Thailand's Passakorn Suwannawat 5-1, Robert whitewashed Welshman  Ryan Day 5-0 and Dom ended on a tight 5-4 result with Peter Lines.

With a great start, but not very lucky during their last battle of cues were Kurt Maflin, who lost 5-4 to Michael Holt and Barry Pinches who got crashed 5-0 by Tom Ford.

Below you have the last day list of results:
