Robbo gets a place in the QFs
Neil Robertson beat Robert Milkins by 6-4 to book a seat in the quarter-finals of this year's Dafabet Masters.

Although far from his best and having a pretty shaky start, the Australian player who won the Masters crown three years ago, managed to end the snooker affair with some pretty impressive breaks.

The match started on a very high note, Milkins hitting a perfect 94 break to take the opener, to which Robertson answered with a 60 and with a pretty scrappy third frame to put his nose in front, at 2-1. However, as the mid-session interval was about to start, Milkins managed to draw level.

Not a very good day for Milkins
After the tea-break, the players re-entered into the arena, Milking being the first one in, a solid break of 69 putting him in the lead for the first time.

The 2012 Masters champion fought back and a break of 77 was restoring the balance of the match, before Milkins could get involved into a rather dramatic 7th frame won on the black to get himself back into the lead, this time, at 4-3.

Robertson seemed a bit fed up with the situation so decided it was time to call it a day, a splendid myriad of breaks (95, 117 and 76), being responsible for the 6-4 victory and a secure place in the quarter-finals.

Ref in charge, Alex Crișan

I can't end this without mentioning the fact that the match was refereed by my fellow country-man, the Romanian Alex Crișan. This is his Master debut, so congrats from SML blog! :-)

The cue action continues Tuesday, as it follows:

1pm
Ronnie O'Sullivan v. Ricky Walden

7pm
Barry Hawkins v. Ali Carter
