She: Oh, Ronnie but why? He: Hey kiddo, we`ll always have World Open!
It’s a fact! We are not going to see "The Rocket" perform at the Shanghai Masters, which kicks off at the beginning of the next week, in the cosmopolite Shanghai, China.
Only last week, Ronnie withdrew from the EPTC 1 event, due to a "back injury" and yesterday breaking news hit us once more. On World Snooker’s official web-site an article appeared, which informed us that "The Rocket" pulled out from the Shanghai Masters, on the same health issues, but he will still perform at the Premier League, later that day. Well, that is odd, I said to myself! So, the World Snooker boys totally deleted the article in no time, creating more confusion than before. Of course that the bookies were the first to take advantage of this crazy situation, putting Ronnie on the list and soon withdrawing him and once again putting him back.
So, after all that madness, today World Snooker releases a new article, more logical. :P Indeed, Ronnie will not play in the Shanghai Masters, but not because of some health issues, but due to some personal problems. So, O`Sullivan won’t be defending his Shanghai title, won last year in a match against the young Liang Wenbo.

"This has been a very difficult decision to make, however I have a very young family and at this moment I need to spend more time with them. I'm truly sorry to my fans in China, I love meeting and playing in front of some of the most passionate people in the world. I very much look forward to returning to China soon.", said Ronnie.
His statement was reinforced by the World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn’s declaration : "It's very disappointing for his fans in China but we understand the personal reasons behind Ronnie's withdrawal."

So, we just have to get used to this kind of things, for as a good friend of mine, says " Shit happens!":P and there’s nothing we can do about it. Unfortunately is very disappointing not just for the Chinese fans, but for all Ronnie’s fans, but what can one do? I hope everything will turn out good for him.
Hopefully, we will see Ronnie perform at the Premier League on September 16 and at the grand World Open (18-26 September).

Shanghai Masters will take place from 6-12 September and it is considered to be one of the most important professional ranking tournaments.
