Anthony Hamilton gets a free ticket to the venue
We are getting closer and closer to the final day of the qualifying rounds...actually here we are, because today is the last day! :-)) That was quick! :-P And since we are approaching this day it is only normal that matches are becoming really tight...you know tension, pressure...those sort of things.

The day started with great news do the "Whirlwind’s" fans (meaning each and everyone of us :-P) that hammered Robert Milkins 4-1. Yeah, baby! Jimmy White is through to the next round and since he was winner of match number 35, you know what that mean, don’t you? He will play the next match, the one against Ryan Day at the venue of the main tournament, Yeah! And another good news: if Jimmy beats Ryan guess who’s going to meet next with? The one and only Ronnie O`Sullivan!!!! That will definitely make the crowds go wild. Haven’t seen those two play against each other in a ranking event since the World Open, if I’m not wrong...and I think I’m not. :-P
However there is still one more qualifying match to be played in Newport, the one between Matthew Stevens and....and....Anthony Hamilton, as the "Sheriff of Pottingham" ended up on a very tight 4-3 result with David Morris.

I was telling you yesterday that the match between Dominic Dale and Liu Chuang was going to be a very interesting one, as both players are so damn good and although for many of you this may came as a shock, Dominic beat Liu 4-1. This a clear victory of a more dominant player - Dom is a dangerous opponent, don’t you underestimate Vienna’s guy.

Dominic Dale has eliminated the Chinese Liu Chuang
Dave Harold continued his tense matches as he defeated Mike Dunn 4-3, Andy Hicks proved one more time that he wants a place in the Welsh Open as he won 4-2 over Barry Pinches and Jack Lisowski crashed the Irish Fergal O’Brien 4-0.

There is another match that captured my attention, mainly because Steve Davis was playing in it. :-)))) Nooo, I’m kidding! Well, actually I’m not...I’m a big fan of the guy and he was up against Joe Jorgia, a player that I also admire. It was a tight, tight match all the way through and Steve could have won it, if he wouldn’t have been in need of a snooker most of the time, a few moments before the battle ended, his "snookers need" rising at two. So it was a win situation for Joe, who now moves through the last round of this competition where he’ll meet with Marcus Campbell.
Just a few moment after this match, the one between Alfie Burden and Rory McLeod, ended with the victory of the second player, who hit a 22 break to close the deal at 4-3.

But here are day’s three results:
Fergal O'Brien 0 - 4 Jack Lisowski
Mike Dunn 3 - 4 Dave Harold
Robert Milkins 1 - 4 Jimmy White
Anthony Hamilton 4 - 3 David Morris
Barry Pinches 2 - 4 Andy Hicks
