The forth day here at the magical Crucible Theatre from Sheffield and the surprises kept on coming as former world champion, Neil Robertson was sent packing DownUnder by qualifier Michael Holt, 10-6.

Holt got on a very strong start using runs of 75 and 140 to grab the first three frames before his Australian opponent could respond with a set of breaks formed from a 62, 101 and 107 and draw level.

Still, by the end of the first session, things went Holt's way who won the last three frames to get a comfortable 6-3 lead over Robertson. This was looking interesting.

When the match re-started, hours later, Holt was the first in to extend his lead at 7-3 thanks to a great 79 clearance.

Robertson replayed by taking the 11th frame, but Michael took the next two to go just one away from victory.

Clearly not at his best, "The Thunder from "Downunder" still managed to pull back two consecutive frame with solid breaks of 79 and 54 before Holt signed off with a 65 to win 10-6 and get a well-deserved place in the Last 16 round.

Mark Selby got through the next round too, after a 10-6 victory obtained in front of Robert Milkins, although the 2014 world champion struggled a lot throughout the match.

Selby closed the first session in charge of the match's fate (7-2), but when the second and last session started, Milkins won no less than four consecutive frames (breaks of 50, 61 and 62).

The mid-session interval came just in time for Selby to regroup and return to close the deal by taking three frame in a row and set a Last 16 round match with Sam Baird.

John Higgins' ride into the next round was a quite easy one as the Scotsman produced top breaks of 105, 79, 100, 77 and 105 to get to 7-2 up against Welshman Ryan Day and added a 52 and 102 breaks to comfortably win by 10-3.
