Judd Trump, the second player to reach the QF
The second name to go through the quarter-finals of this year’s Betfred.com World Championship is the unstoppable youngster Judd Trump, him defeating Martin Gould 13-6.
On the other table, Mark Allen put up a brilliant performance as he made a full comeback and took the lead over his opponent, Barry Hawkins 9-7 in the second session.


Judd Trump’s fans are mad with excitement as their favorite players succeeded in winning the battle against Martin Gould, a player that deserves all our respect and consideration for his evolution in this tournament. It was a hard battle for Martin, a battle that he fought for, but sadly didn’t win.

11-5 was the scoreline as the boys were entering the third and last session of the match and although a break of 46 was bringing Gould one frame, the next two were going to be cashed by Juddy with runs of 69 and 50. A 13-6 final result guarantees Trump with a place into the quarter-finals, where he’ll meet the winner of Ali Carter v. Graeme Dott match. Whoever shall win this battle will be up for a hard win with Judd as part of the equation.


At table number two, some beautiful snooker was being played by Mark Allen, the North-Ireland’s man taking the lead for the first time since the beginning of the match. The session started with Barry Hawkins in front 5-3, but it ended with a 9-7 in favor of Allen.

Two more frames were going to be won by the Englishman as the second session kicked off, but after that Allen took each and every frame that was left. Breaks of 45, 79 and a marvelous 114 were made responsible for leveling the match at 7-7, while breaks of 82 and 46 were putting Allen as the leader of the match, 9-7.
One more session is to be played, tonight from 19:00 (UK time).
